Common Questions About Website Builds

Do I own the website? +

Yes. The code, the content, and your Google Analytics data are yours. I host it on my account so it is one less bill and one less login for you to manage, and you can take it off my hands whenever you want - your own hosting, your own registrar, or another provider. Ask and I hand it over. Nothing stops working, and there is no rebuild and no exit fee. Prefer to hold it yourself from the start? Say so and I set it up in your name instead.

How is this different from Wix or Squarespace? +

Wix and Squarespace charge you every month forever, and your site only exists inside their platform. Leave and you are rebuilding from nothing. I build clean HTML and CSS that runs anywhere. Hosting is included while you are with me, and if you leave you take the code - it runs on free static hosting, so your only ongoing cost would be about $12 a year for the domain. No platform fee, no rebuild, no starting over.

What if I already have a website? +

We can rebuild it from scratch or restructure what you have to meet current speed, schema, and local search standards. If your existing site is working fine, Citation Cleanup or Found Local is usually the better place to put your money.

How long does it take? +

Ten business days from the day I have your content. That is a hard date, not an estimate. If I miss it, your final payment defers until the site is live.

What do you need from me? +

Your service list, service areas, a few photos of your actual work, and about 20 minutes on the phone. I write the copy and handle everything else.
