The Bug That Was Hiding Four Pages From Google

The Situation

A full technical audit scored the site 61 out of 100. The critical finding: every course page told Google it was just a copy of the homepage. Four pages built to rank for their own searches, each one quietly instructing Google not to rank them.

What We Did

Fixed the canonical tags so each page claims itself. Rewrote titles that had doubled the brand name and run past 90 characters. Gave the pricing page its own title targeting cost queries. Settled the city signal on one location instead of two. Replaced the wrong schema type with local business markup, added the instructor as a credentialed entity, and published an llms.txt so AI tools can read the business.

The Result

  • Four course pages released to rank for their own keywords
  • Pricing page now targets cost searches instead of duplicating the homepage
  • One consistent city signal across site, schema, and titles
  • Local business and instructor credentials readable by search and AI tools
  • Owner holds the code, analytics, and content outright

Line by Line

Before and after for each signal changed on Down-Range Training Academy
Signal Before After
Four course pages nobody could find Each one told Google to ignore it and look at the homepage instead Each one now stands on its own and can show up in a search
The pricing page Carried the exact same headline as the homepage, so Google saw a duplicate Says "Pistol Class Prices in Kennesaw, GA," which is what people type
What shows in the search result Business name twice, so long Google cut it off mid-sentence Leads with the service, names the business once, fits on screen
Which town the site claimed Powder Springs on some pages, Kennesaw on others. Google trusted neither Kennesaw everywhere, so it counts as one clear answer
What search engines knew about the business Just a name. No hours, no service area, no credentials Hours, service area, and instructor credentials, all machine-readable
The www version of the address Loaded as a second copy of the site, splitting the credit between them Sends visitors to the main site, so all the credit lands in one place
A file that tells AI tools what the business does Not there Published, so ChatGPT and similar tools can read it

DG Property Management

Property Management - Atlanta Metro

DG Property Management

Off a Rented Subdomain and Onto a Domain They Own

What Changed in Google Search

Before

dg-property-management-llc.ueniweb.com

D.G. Property Management LLC | Lawn Care in Marietta

Quality lawn service in Metro Atlanta. Based in Marietta, our expert team provides a wide range of lawn services...

  • Rented subdomain — not their address to keep
  • One service visible to Google
  • Brand name first — not what customers search

After

dgpropertymngt.com

Lawn Care, Pressure Washing & Junk Removal | Marietta & Metro Atlanta

D.G. Property Management handles the mowing, washing, and hauling Marietta and Metro Atlanta homeowners keep putting off. One local crew, one call.

  • Their domain — theirs to keep no matter who they hire next
  • All three services named and searchable
  • Service + city first — matches how customers actually search

The Situation

They had a website, but it lived at dg-property-management-llc.ueniweb.com - an address rented from the website company. Every bit of credit they earned with Google belonged to that company, not to them. The page also sold one service, lawn care, when they do three. And their name, address, and phone did not match across the directories already listing them.

What We Did

Launch Site on a domain registered to the business, built around all three services they actually sell, Google Business Profile built out and optimized, citation cleanup, and directory unification across every platform customers check.

The Result

  • Live in 10 business days
  • Now on dgpropertymngt.com, an address the business controls
  • 3x more calls than the first month post-launch
  • Name, address, and phone consistent across 6+ platforms
  • Now an active Found Local retainer client

Who owns the web address Rented from the website company. Leave them and the address goes away with them dgpropertymngt.com, in the business name. Theirs to keep no matter who they hire next
What Google thought they did Lawn care, and nothing else Lawn care, pressure washing, and junk removal, each one named so it can be searched for
How it loaded on a phone Nearly 2 MB of page. Slow on anything but strong wifi Loads fast on a phone with two bars, which is how customers see it
Pinching to zoom in Turned off. A customer squinting at the phone number could not make it bigger Works like any normal page
The summary line under your name in Google Not written, so Google grabbed whatever text it found Written on purpose for every page
Telling Google which page is the real one Nothing on the page said. Search engines had to guess Every page states it plainly
